Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) graduating students are honoured to receive awards by the National Parks Board (NParks) and The Jurong Town Corporation (JTC) at the graduating ceremony on 5 May 2025.

鈥淚 am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the NParks Gold Medal. This award signifies that my efforts in my three years in polytechnic paid off!

A big thank you to my friends in DLA for pushing me and making it enjoyable and exciting to come to studio every day! They made it possible for me to make it through tough times as we encouraged and helped one another along the way. I want to thank my DLA Lecturers for their support and guidance throughout my time in this course!

Words of encouragement to my juniors: keep finding enjoyment in what you do and appreciate the time you have in DLA, especially with your friends! Doing and being surrounded by what you love will motivate you to push yourself to beyond your limits.鈥�

鈥淚 was honestly surprised, honoured, and definitely excited to be receiving the NParks Silver Medal award.

 My family and friends have been my strongest support system, always standing by me through the ups and downs all these years. I am especially thankful for DLA, both lecturers and classmates. Over the three years, we have grown so much closer and that journey together has created a sacred bond. It is amazing to be part of a class where everyone is so supportive of one another. That pure friendship and unity is what makes DLA feel like such a big loving family.

 To my DLA juniors: Grind Till The Finishing Line! Do your best in all your projects, every late night will be worth it at the end. Make sure to put in hard work so that you can shout that 鈥淚 LOVE DLA鈥� at your graduation!

鈥淲hen I first found out I was receiving the JTC Prize, I felt very grateful and that my efforts had been recognized. This prize motivates me to work even harder in future.

 I would like to thank my DLA Lecturers for their guidance during consultation sessions as I would never have gotten as far as I did without them. 

I hope my juniors in DLA will keep an open mind and be receptive to feedback, don鈥檛 be afraid to take creative risks and enjoy the learning process.鈥�

DLA is grateful to NParks and JTC for providing the medals and prizes to DLA students. It is encouraging to the students and a motivation for them to do better in contributing to the landscape architecture profession in the built environment of 91福利社.
