Accelerated Pathway Programmes (APP)

Currently, 91¸£ÀûÉç has partnerships with four local universities allowing eligible students from 18 diplomas to fast-track their degrees.
Eligible students have the opportunity to take on university modules taught by the universities, in lieu of 91¸£ÀûÉç elective modules. These university-level modules will fulfil 91¸£ÀûÉç graduation requirements and mapped to 91¸£ÀûÉç's Examination Grading System. The credits may also be recognised by the relevant university when they choose to pursue a degree with them.

 

91¸£ÀûÉç-NUS Accelerated Pathway Programme

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NUS APP allows eligible students from the 91¸£ÀûÉç, Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) to take three courses offered by Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) at National University of 91¸£ÀûÉç (NUS) in their final semester with 91¸£ÀûÉç (Year-3 Semester-2) in place of three 91¸£ÀûÉç School Elective modules. For each completed NUS course, the relevant credit and grade will be mapped to the 91¸£ÀûÉç Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

 

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NUS APP allows eligible students from the diplomas listed above to take modules offered by National University of 91¸£ÀûÉç Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in their final year in 91¸£ÀûÉç. For each completed NUS module, the relevant credit and grade will be mapped to the 91¸£ÀûÉç Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

 

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NUS APP allows eligible students from the diplomas listed above to take modules offered by National University of 91¸£ÀûÉç, Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) or Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), from their 2nd year in 91¸£ÀûÉç. For each completed NUS module, the relevant credit and grade will be mapped to the 91¸£ÀûÉç Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

 

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NUS APP allows eligible students from the 91¸£ÀûÉç, Diploma in Chemical Engineering (DCHE) to take three modules offered by Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) at NUS’s College of Design and Engineering while studying at 91¸£ÀûÉç.  These university-level modules will fulfil 91¸£ÀûÉç graduation requirements via the 91¸£ÀûÉç elective modules.  In addition, NUS will recognise the credits earned through APP if 91¸£ÀûÉç students choose to pursue their first degree there.

 

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NUS APP allows eligible students from 91¸£ÀûÉç's School of Chemical and Life Sciences (CLS) courses to take modules taught by NUS's College of Humanities and Sciences and College of Design and Engineering while studying at 91¸£ÀûÉç.  These university-level modules will fulfil 91¸£ÀûÉç graduation requirements via the 91¸£ÀûÉç elective modules.  In addition, NUS will recognise the credits earned through APP if 91¸£ÀûÉç students choose to pursue their first degree there.


The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NUS APP allows eligible students from the 91¸£ÀûÉç, Diploma in Facilities Management (91¸£ÀûÉç DFM) to take three modules offered by Bachelor of Engineering (Infrastructure & Project Management) at NUS in their final semester with 91¸£ÀûÉç (Year-3 Semester-2) in place of three 91¸£ÀûÉç Elective modules. For each completed NUS module, the relevant credit and grade will be mapped to the 91¸£ÀûÉç Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NTU APP allows eligible students from the 91¸£ÀûÉç, Diploma in Civil Engineering (91¸£ÀûÉç DCE) to take three modules offered by Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in their final semester with 91¸£ÀûÉç (Year-3 Semester-2) in place of three 91¸£ÀûÉç School Elective modules. For each completed NTU module, the relevant credit and grade will be mapped to the 91¸£ÀûÉç Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

 


The 91¸£ÀûÉç-NTU APP enables eligible students from the 91¸£ÀûÉç, Diploma in Chemical Engineering (91¸£ÀûÉç DCHE) to take three modules offered by Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in place of three 91¸£ÀûÉç School Elective modules. For each completed NTU module, the relevant credit and grade will be mapped to the 91¸£ÀûÉç Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-SMU APP allows eligible students from the 91¸£ÀûÉç School of Computing to take two modules at the School of Computing and Information Systems of the 91¸£ÀûÉç Management University in their final semester at 91¸£ÀûÉç (Year-3 Semester-2) in place of two 91¸£ÀûÉç School Elective modules. For each completed SMU module, the relevant credits and grades will be mapped to the 91¸£ÀûÉç Examination Grading System and reflected in the final transcript of the student’s diploma course.

The modules offered in this programme comprise:

Option 1: Modules offered under the Information Systems programme

Option 2: Modules offered under the Computer Science programme

Option 3: Modules offered under the Software Engineering programme

SMU may offer other module(s) under the same degree, subject to suitability and availability.

 



91¸£ÀûÉç-SUTD Accelerated Pathway Programme

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-SUTD APP will allow 91¸£ÀûÉç School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering students the opportunity to study SUTD modules in their final semester at 91¸£ÀûÉç, alongside SUTD students in their Freshmore year. This will allow APP students who choose to progress to SUTD after graduation, to complete their SUTD degree in a shorter period of time. Students who are eligible for this programme will complete the regular 91¸£ÀûÉç curriculum in about 5 semesters, compared to the usual 6 semesters.

 

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-SUTD APP will allow 91¸£ÀûÉç School of Computing students the opportunity to study SUTD modules in their final semester at 91¸£ÀûÉç, alongside SUTD students in their Freshmore year. This will allow APP students who choose to progress to SUTD after graduation, to complete their SUTD degree in a shorter period of time. Students who are eligible for this programme will complete the regular 91¸£ÀûÉç curriculum in about 5 semesters, compared to the usual 6 semesters.

 

The 91¸£ÀûÉç-SUTD APP will allow 91¸£ÀûÉç Diploma in Architecture students the opportunity to study SUTD modules in their final semester at 91¸£ÀûÉç, alongside SUTD students in their Freshmore year. Students who are eligible for this programme will complete the regular 91¸£ÀûÉç curriculum in about 5 semesters, compared to the usual 6 semesters. Successful pathway programme students who choose to continue their studies with SUTD after Term 1 can progress immediately to SUTD Term 2 without having to wait another year, thereby shortening the time needed to acquire a degree at SUTD.
