EEE alumnus Chong Ing Kai made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2025 list for his achievements with his start-up Stick 'Em, one of the youngest ever to have made it to the list. He and co-founder Huh Dam had a vision - to make STEAM education accessible and affordable for everyone. Stick 'Em emerged, which makes innovative chopstick kits, out of wooden chopsticks equipped with geometric connectors and plug-and-play electronics, to build numerous experiments and robot designs. Their Stick 'Em Academy website provides over 40 self-guided lessons for teachers. In November 2024, Stick 'Em emerged as the first runner-up in the Temasek Foundation Education Challenge to pilot edtech Solutions in Southeast Asia. To date, they have trained 770 school teachers spanning 11 countries, and counting.
