On 9 April 2025, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Skills Builder Workshop brought excitement and learning to 22 Year 2 students from the Diploma in Applied AI & Analytics (DAAA) course. This immersive workshop offered a deep dive into AWS resources and certification strategies, setting the stage for future tech leaders.

The day kicked off with an engaging session on the AWS Skill Builder platform, where students explored the AWS Certified AI Practical course and learned valuable test-taking strategies. The real thrill came with the AWS Cloud Quest competition鈥攁 gamified learning experience that had everyone on the edge of their seats.

In this high-energy competition, teams of two raced against the clock to complete AWS-related tasks. They deployed EC2 instances across multiple availability zones, navigating real-world scenarios with skill and determination. Despite the time pressure, two teams triumphed by successfully configuring different instance types, gaining hands-on experience that will serve them well in their future careers.
