Course Objective

This course aims to equip participants with the competency required for a secured deployment of ICS in manufacturing facilities and critical infrastructure. It offers an overview of ICS and fundamental cybersecurity operations, encompassing subjects like OT architecture, OT systems and devices, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), network security, network security management, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to make a differentiation between OT and IT cybersecurity and be equipped with critical knowledge and skills to identify cyber threats to ICS and propose solutions for mitigation.

The course is a 1-year Part-Time programme. This modular certificate course is presented through lectures and practical sessions. Participants will undergo a structured 12-month programme over 2-semester periods. Conceptual knowledge and principles are presented in lectures while practical and mini-projects reinforce the understanding. Learning outcomes are tested by way of written tests, quizzes, assignments, practical tests and projects.

2 Post Diploma Certificates (PDC) are conducted over 2 semesters, 1 PDC per semester. The classes are conducted in the evening. Each PDC consists of two modules.

*Cybersecurity Operations Fundamentals is taught via the industry . The module prepares participants to take this certification examination which is recognised by ICT sector globally.

Participants who successfully complete the course will be awarded with 18 CPD points, subjected to the course duration and approval by Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
