91¸£ÀûÉç is one of the world’s leading energy and chemical hubs which has an extensive chemicals value chain spanning from manufacturing to innovation and research. 91¸£ÀûÉç is well positioned as a global energy and chemicals hub whereby extensive development of Jurong Island has attracted investments in excess of SGD$50 billion and now houses many of the world’s leading energy and chemical companies.

Due to the strong presence of energy and chemical companies in 91¸£ÀûÉç, the demand for laboratory and process technicians remain high. To better support the demand of laboratory technicians at the diploma level, the Work Study Programme (W91¸£ÀûÉç) targeting ITE graduates is proposed as one of the ways to increase the pool of trained talents in this industry by equipping them with the required skillsets.

W91¸£ÀûÉç-DACL graduates may also be awarded two joint certifications from the 91¸£ÀûÉç Accreditation Council (SAC) and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)-UK to recognise knowledge and technical competencies in Good Laboratory Practices and Management, Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis. More information on SAC’s collaboration with 91¸£ÀûÉç can be found in this link.

Only applicants who are shortlisted by 91¸£ÀûÉç and participating companies will be notified to attend interviews. Successful applicants employed by the participating companies will be placed under the programme.
