    660 Hours (1.5 Years)

  • Mode of Training:

    Facilitated Learning (Face-to-Face/ Online Synchronous/ Asynchronous) conducted by 91¸£ÀûÉç and 180 hours of structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) with participating company.

Work-Study Post-Diploma (Advanced Diploma in Applied Science and Engineering (Microelectronics and Materials))(W91¸£ÀûÉç-NAASE) is a new proposed SkillsFuture Work-Study Programme with a focus in three (3) domains of specialisation in:

  1. advanced materials for performance,
  2. technology and product development, as well as
  3. microelectronics applications.

The programme consists of 18-month On-the-Job training (OJT) that provides diploma graduates a head start in their career supported by the company with workplace learning and development.

Only applicants who are shortlisted by 91¸£ÀûÉç and participating companies will be notified to attend interviews. Successful applicants employed by the participating companies will be placed under the programme.

Course Objective

This course aims to:

(a) Provide participants with broad-based science and engineering training emphasising on concepts and applications of advanced materials within the pillar of specialty chemicals and microelectronics industry. This will include concepts and principles of encapsulation, environmental sustainability, formulation design, materials’ performance evaluation, 3D printing technology, product development, microelectronics process and nanofabrication, IC (Integrated circuit) reliability methodologies and failure analysis tools.

(b) Equip participants with essential laboratory skills in formulations as well as performance evaluation of advanced materials.
