A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Employment and Employability Institute Pte Ltd (e2i), Institute of Technical Education (ITE), 91¸£ÀûÉç (91¸£ÀûÉç) and Sustainable Energy Association of 91¸£ÀûÉç (SEAS) on 17 December 2020, during launch of the Career Development Plan (CDP) & Job Fair for the Solar Energy Sector at the 91¸£ÀûÉç Sustainability Academy (SSA). National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Secretary-General (SG), Ng Chee Meng was the Guest of Honour at the event. 

As the demand for manpower in the Solar Energy sector rises, it is imperative to build a strong core workforce so as to ensure reliability on clean energy. This MoU provides a broad framework focusing on the sustainability of solar Installers profession in the Solar Energy Sector by helping employers to redesign the job of a Solar Technologist, put in place some form of Solar Career Development Plan (CDP), attract and nurture a pool of local skilled manpower through training and re-skilling to serve the current and future needs of the industry.
