Shipping companies, operating Liquefied Gas Tankers, employ Deck officers and Engineers holding this STCW compliant training (as required by MPA). Hence, participants are trained in accordance with the requirements of Section A-V/1-2 of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) STCW Code, as applicable to the operations on Liquefied Gas Tankers, as well as the guidance in IMO Model Course 1.05.
They will learn through a combination of classroom lectures and practical demonstrations of using safety equipment, with multimedia teaching aids, case studies, and Liquid Cargo Simulator (LCHS). All cargo operations are explained and evaluated in LCHS.

Course Objective

This course aims providing training, at an Advanced-Level, to Liquid Gas Tanker Cargo Operations personnel. They include Masters, Chief Engineer Officers, Chief Mates, Second Engineer Officers, and any person onboard Liquefied Gas Tankers having immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging, care-in-transit, handling of cargo, tank cleaning, or other cargo-related operations. Furthermore, it meets all requirements under Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) convention Chapter V, Section A-V/1-2 para 2. This certificate is pre-requisite to obtaining ‘Dangerous Cargo Endorsement’ (DCE) from the Maritime & Port Authority of 91¸£ÀûÉç (MPA). DCE is a mandatory document for Senior Shipboard Officers and Engineers.
